Usine

Usine (French for factory) is a restaurant, coffee shop and conference venue located in a former sausage factory in the heart of Stockholm’s Södermalm neighbourhood.

The high-ceilinged oblong space was stripped bare, leaving nothing but an iron beam structure, and assigned entirely new functions – each marked by a black vertical beam that acts as an axis for operations to revolve around.

Concrete, white tiles and galvanised steel details are paired with maple wood millwork, cognac leather upholstery and potted plants, resulting in a layered and eclectic look that stands the test of time.
